Chanakya Merit cum Means Scholarship 2025-26

One of the most prestigious scholarships offered by the university, the Chanakya Merit cum Means scholarship supports students with strong academic potential and limited financial means, ensuring that no deserving learner is denied access to quality education. Selection is based on academic merit, financial background, and performance in the CSET entrance exam

Eligibility Criteria

Indicative Financial Slabs

Less than ₹3 Lakhs/year: 100% scholarship
₹3-6 Lakhs/year: 75% scholarship
₹6-8 Lakhs/year: 50% scholarship

Academic Requirement

85% and above in 10th & 12th grades

CSET Requirement

Minimum 50% score in the Chanakya Scholarship Eligibility Test

Special Scholarship

Chanakya University offers a Special Scholarship to promote diversity and support students from various backgrounds. This scholarship provides financial assistance to students from specific regions and those with particular personal circumstances. Applicants must meet certain academic criteria and provide the necessary documentation to qualify.

Key Highlights:

₹35,000 for students from North East, J&K, and Andaman & Nicobar
₹25,000 for dependents of defence/police personnel
₹25,000 for Kendriya Vidyalaya students
₹25,000 for children of single mothers
Academic eligibility: 70% (60% for single mother category)

Merit-Based Scholarship

Chanakya University offers Merit-Based Scholarships to recognize and reward academic excellence across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. These scholarships are applicable for the first year of study and are designed for students admitted under the full-fee category. Eligibility and scholarship amounts vary based on academic performance and entrance exam scores.

Key Highlights:

Offered to high-achieving UG and PG students under full-fee category:

₹40,000 for UG students with 95%+, ₹30,000 for 85–94.9% in Class 12
₹50,000 for CLAT rank holders (1–5000) – Law applicants
₹40,000–₹50,000 for PG/UG students with consistent 80%+ in academics

CUET Achievement Scholarship Summary

Chanakya University offers the CUET Achievement Scholarship to reward high-performing students based on their CUET percentile scores. This scholarship applies to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with benefits varying according to the CUET score bracket. Scholarships are granted for the first year of study and are contingent upon the specific program and CUET percentile achieved.

Awarded based on CUET percentile for select UG & PG programmes:

95%+ CUET – Up to 100% scholarship
90–94.99% CUET – Up to 75%
85–89.99% CUET – Up to 50%
